Is my retirement safe?

Many people around me are not happy with their job. But no one dares to quit. Because everyone needs paycheck to survive. How long should we work? Why is the life so tough even though we are working so hard. We need to understand the game, called 'CAPITALISM'. Without understanding how things work in capitalism, no one can retire even after long period of hard working. In the worst scenario, hard working people may live their life in poverty after retirement.

Many people wants to be rich. But nobody talks about money or wealth directly. Most of people tries to avoid the topic of money. That's why many people stereotyped the rich. What is the life of the rich like? Most common image of the rich is a greedy fat guy wasting money to take things from the poor or the middle class. However, the reality is totally different. There is a TV show named ordinary millionaire in South Korea. All people in the show makes huge money. But nobody really wastes money for nothing. Rather, they are all diligent and humble, spend the money wisely, hard working to build their business. The misconception about the rich is significantly different from the real life of the rich.

In capitalism, many opportunities are coming to us. However, all these opportunities are invisible unless the one opens up their mind to understand the capitalism. We can only see the chances when we understand the game of capitalism.The rich is simply ordinary people who try to do reasonable things according to the rule of capitalism.

The very first reason that understanding capitalism is important is for our retirement. In South Korea, many people become poor after retirement. Pension never provides sufficient income, and people were forced to live in poverty when they lost their job or were unable to find another job anymore. Future is not so bright for many because automated system and AI replace the positions where human labor was once essential in the past.

Why do we need to study about money and capitalism? It is simple. Your job doesn't protect you and your family after retirement. Labor income will be stopped at certain point of time. It may be extended little further, but the fact is still the same. Everyone will retire when the time comes. Sufficient money to make a living is needed anyway even after retirement. We are living under the risk, which is so often ignored by most of people while they have stable paycheck, that total sum of labor income is not even close to the total budget required for the rest of our life. This cold truth doesn't change even if you conservatively estimated the total budget for your entire life. The risk threatens many people's lives because of indifferent attitude on their future, the life after retirement.

Our retirement is in danger. That's the reason we need to study about money and capitalism.
